Dino’s slatted composite cladding is designed specifically for UK conditions. Each board combines a recycled timber and plastic core with protective Dino Shield™ technology, making it highly resistant to rot, warping and splitting. With minimal maintenance, it will last for decades outdoors. All boards also come with a 10-year warranty for added peace of mind. Will anthracite slatted composite cladding fade over time? Whilst anthracite slatted cladding is resistant to fading, over time you may see a slight duller colour begin to form. This is merely due to UV light and is a natural process that occurs with all cladding. Can slatted composite cladding be installed horizontally? Yes. Dino’s slatted composite cladding is designed for both vertical and horizontal installation. Many customers choose a vertical layout for bold shadow lines, while horizontal installation creates a sleek, contemporary look with the same durable performance. We have another horizontal cladding option in our flush composite cladding range, which offers a smooth, seamless appearance. Is slatted composite cladding better than timber cladding? Yes. It’s well known that composite outperforms timber in outdoor use. Dino’s slatted composite cladding will not rot, warp or split and requires very little maintenance. With Dino Shield™ and UV protection, it also keeps its colour for longer. Timber offers a natural look, but it needs regular treatment, while composite gives you a longer-lasting, low-maintenance alternative. What colours are available in slatted composite cladding? Dino’s slatted composite cladding is available in three colours: oak, anthracite, and black. These shades are crafted to suit modern outdoor design trends. Order a free sample pack to see the colours in your own environment and feel the slatted texture before choosing. Can composite slatted cladding be cleaned easily? What maintenance is required? Maintenance is minimal. Usually, cleaning with soapy water, a soft brush, or a gentle hose-off is all you need. For tougher stains or mould, use Dino composite cleaner to safely remove dirt, algae or grime without damaging the surface. Avoid harsh chemicals or high-pressure washers unless explicitly stated by Dino. What spacing should I leave between slatted boards for expansion/contraction? With Dino’s concealed fixing system, you don’t need to leave any manual gaps between slatted composite cladding boards. The fixings automatically create the correct spacing during installation. This ensures the boards have room for natural thermal movement while preventing issues like buckling or warping. Do I need planning permission to install composite slatted cladding? In most cases, you do not need planning permission to install slatted composite cladding. However, there are exceptions — for example, if your property is listed, located in a conservation area, or in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Because local rules vary, it’s always best to confirm with your local council before starting your project. Dino’s slatted composite cladding is designed specifically for UK conditions.
