The Cobra bandsaw is modelled on the Laguna 18/BX, but specifically designed for the UK market. It has a one piece frame construction to minimise distortion when the blade is fully tensioned. The mighty 3000w induction motor provides the power to use the full 16” cutting depth. The blade guide system has 5 sealed bearings at the top and 5 underneath the table. Each side of the blade there are 2 bearings allowing for greater support when using wider blades. The rear bearing has a groove in the centre which allows a 3mm blade to be used for Scroll work. All of the bearings have tool free adjustment. The precision ground cast iron table is mounted onto an over sized double cast iron trunnion with two locking points that ensure there is a solid surface to work from. The table tilts to 45° with a positive stop at 90°. In the centre of the table is an aluminium throat plate with 4 adjusting screws to ensure a perfect flush fit.The parallel fence runs smoothly along a polished solid steel bar. Minor adjustments can be made to the position of the rip fence by rotating the micro adjustment screw. The measuring scale is marked in both Inches and Millimetres. The rigid aluminium high/low fence can be installed in 2 ways to ensure full and precise timber support for both large and small work pieces. For crosscutting operations a sliding mitre guide is included. It has an incredible 180 degree rotation with pre-sets stops at 0, 22.5, 30, 45, 60, 67.5 and 90 degrees each way.Supplied with British made 13mm blade, 1.9m cable with industrial 16 amp plug.SPECIFICATION:Maximum Cutting Depth 400mm (16")Throat Width 460mm (18")Max.
