Thompson & Morgan Sollya Heterophylla Plant - 9cm Pot - Sky Blue

Sollya heterophylla, commonly known as the Bluebell Creeper, is a charming and unusual half-hardy evergreen climber. It produces a profusion of delicate, nodding sky-blue bell-shaped flowers from May through October, providing a stunning summer display. Its twining stems are covered in glossy evergreen foliage, making it an attractive feature even when not in bloom. This versatile plant is ideal for growing in patio containers or conservatories, especially in cooler UK regions where it can be moved indoors over winter. In milder climates, it can be grown outdoors against sheltered walls or fences, where it twines beautifully through shrubs. How to Grow: Sollya heterophylla requires protection from frost and should be kept above -5°C (23°F). It grows well in pots using a loam-based compost such as John Innes No. 2 and can be placed outdoors in warm, sheltered sunny or semi-shaded locations during the summer months. Aftercare: Move container-grown plants outdoors from May to October to a sheltered sunny spot. Water and feed regularly during the growing season. Before the first frost, return plants to a bright, warm greenhouse or conservatory and reduce watering until spring. In early spring, prune back flowered shoots to 2–4 buds from the main side shoots to encourage fresh growth. Images shown are for guidance only and show the expected results of plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary results. Image may be included for illustration of supply but can vary due to seasonality changes (e.g. deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months). Decorative pots are not supplied.
