Product Description

Designed to offer a soft to medium support, the Sublime 5000 combines body-contouring pocket springs, natural fillings and a chemical free viscose cover. The mattress features a traditional hand tufted finish to ensure the fillings stay in place, with a single black tuft in the corner to indicate the use of Hampshire wool. As well as Hampshire wool; one of the softest wools available in the UK, the mattress layers of fillings also include cashgora wool, silk and soft English spun cotton. The unique set up of the interior is made up of 1000 inner pocket springs, with 2000 mini pocket tablet springs on both sides for heightened support and comfort. Housed in their own cloth sleeves, pocket springs are small in diameter compared to open coils and are totally independent of any neighbouring springs. The springs are able to move freely so the load on one is not affected by any surrounding springs, providing piston-like support to each part of your body. Reserved for premium mattresses, an added feature is side-stitching; a labour intensive and intricate technique that takes many years for craftsmen to master. The side stitching process involves sewing the outer row of springs to the border of the mattress by using high-tension twine and a long upholstery needle. Side-stitching provides edge-to-edge support across the mattress, increasing the sleeping surface by 20 and also prevents the border from bowing out over time.
