The NEW Stereo Lens-In-A-Cap is a 40 mm, f11 f22, 2 element lens in a break resistant polymer composite housing. Made for APS-C format subframe digital SLR sensors (22-24mm) x (14.5-16mm). The Lens features a twin blade diaphragm with 3 stop aperture settings: f11, f16, f22, and a continuous focusing slider from 1.5m to infinity. The stereo base is 90mm between the two light paths. Up front, each lens portal is threaded for 58mm filters with a maximum outer diameter of 86mm. The minimum rear lens diameter is 44mm, suitable for wide angle and tele converters. The NEW Stereo LIC showcased here, is for Minolta and Sony Digital SLRs: Minolta 5D, 7D and Sony Alpha DSLR-A100, A200, A230, A300, A330, A350, A500, A550, A850, and A900, and the lists keep growing. THe Minolta Maxxum 5D and 7D require the shutter lock to be disabled and the Minolta SLRs will work in automatic metering mode. When set to "P", the exposure compensation needs to be set to -1.5 stops, while set "to "A", no compensation is necessary. The Sony A100 and A700 require the shutter lock to be disabled and will work in automatic mode. The other Sony cameras do not have a disable shutter lock feature and must be used in the Manual Focus Mode. In all the Minolta and Sony cameras that will work in auto exposure mode, the anti-shake feature improves lighting conditions by 1-2 stops.
